I spent a lot of time as a kid doodling in notebooks. Not much has changed as an adult — although doodling has only been a small part of my career as a designer. I found myself with more free time during the COVID-19 lockdowns and self-published an activity book of designer doodles.
The UX Activity Workbook tests designers of all skill levels with their understanding of a multitude of user experience concepts through playful exercises. It’d designed to let you challenge your colleagues and peers with noggin’ scratching brain teasers, crosswords, and colouring-in exercises.
Since publishing the book in April, I’ve sold a steady number of copies and it was even featured as one of the best design links of the day on Sidebar.
